Corner view ..Tradition "oliebol"

This evening I did a very traditional dutch thing..I made "oliebollen" in englisch "dutch donut". Its a typical dutch candy from the 18th century that we eat and made on 31 dec. but you can buy the oliebol a couple days before in the shop. Today I saw in the supermarket lots and lots of package of the dutch donut dough and because I have last year big trouble to buy it(I was to late in the shops everthing was saled already)I bought 3 package and everthing I need for that..

And this evening ..(yes I know I'm a little bit early )I baked together with my girlfriend and neighbour next door 1 package of oliebollen!!

It was nice to talk to laugh to bake and to eat. She was going home with a couple oliebollen for her friend and there are just a couple left for my F. when he's coming home this evening.

I'm so thankful for this time of the year and the possibility to celebrate this time.
Thank you dear God for all the beauty that is left from Eden and for all the beauty that is to come.

Reading this theme I knew exactly what I want to show you.
When I was a little child I lay down on the floor or on my bed and stared to the ceiling.I discoverd that it will be wonderful when you can turn around you're world. So since then (in my childhood) when I lay down I always turned my view of the world in upside down. And fantasize how it is to live in that upside down world.
Now I'm growed up and I have enough on this world so I don't do it anymore but sometimes really sometimes I take a little look up side down..but thank God now I like this world more.
But for this time again a little look from the world around me upside down.
I think it will be difficult walking on our new floor..don't you think?

But it looks like a gozy world...dont you think. I have to say that I inspire myself right now ..I'm gonna do something with it in my work!

I think this was my shortest holiday ever. Anna and I stay for 2 nights ,one day in Stockholm. We had a incredible time.
End of this week I'm gonna book a new Stockholm adventure. This time with my F. because we've had no vacation this year(just hard work)
And on the 30 this month we've been married ten years so we gonna celebrate that in december in Stockholm for 3 nights and 2 days...yeah!!

I'm dreaming of a white Stockholm..

Dear Blog Friends,

I have just to much things on my head.

Like these:

Knitting.
Cooking.
Cleaning.
Nice Nice Autumn.
Archaeology things.
My job.
My volunteer job.

All my discovers ...It is to much.So thats why its is so quiet here.

But I want to show you just one thing. We (F and I) went to some archaology people with all the things we find during the building proces. That was really interesting...so now I'm totally crazy of it and I can't stop searching.

We found some stuff below the floor from 1400-1500 and 1600.

Except that glass..that is something I bought because that is so special. Its a Roemer from the 17e century..for my work is it very special that I found this. You see this on almost every still lifes from 1500-1700 and now I hold it in my hand. Its time traveling.

Just like the fragments.. I've seen the whole peace of pottery by the archaeologists so now I know what it was..It is magic.

We found so much more...also whole pieces pottery. Next time more.

After 1 month of extreme hard working ...

We have one temporary kitchen on a new place in the house:

And we have a new concrete floor, we have two new basements(we've never had but where I'm always dreamed of) we have a extension of the house and a dining room that we've never had.

So the vacation is over and now we are very tired.Our body's hurt all over and we fell ourselves very old when we have to stand up...but it was it all worth.

Look with me! This is our new dining room..he is not ready but it is already a dream for me..:

Glad that we have rest for a while because the working life is back!!

The big rebuilding work is started this week...well it was sweat sand and a lot of trash! Tomorrow we go further...We have found something that can be great news for us...I hope I can tell you and show you more soon. Here a little impression of this last week:

First day of a month vacation!

We HAD to celebrate the first day of our month vacation.
So we did.. we where going to the dutch open air museum in Arnhem. Its a big park were they have re-build the old dutch time. You can see how we Dutch people live our life around 1800-1930. You can walk trough the houses and sometimes taste some food ..they have some old shops and you can found very much of our history. I love to be there..We go several times a year. In the summer and winter...love love love it there.
We go home yesterday with the feeling that we doing all things right with our own re-building project at home. We where confirmed in our ideas and we have a good spirit to go for it this weeks! There is lot to do this month.

Today I was in the fashion museum of Antwerpen in Belgium! There was a exposition about black fashion.It was a big inspiration for me.
When I was going home I saw a nice jewelry shop and I bought there all in style from today black lava stone earrings. I´m totally broken now but happy!

Couple weeks ago I get a invitation for a fair. They ask me or I want to stand there with my work. You know that I had deside not to work for a year..but I saw the invitation and I deside ..I´m in!!!

I´m so exiced!! I´m gonna work again. I love to stand on fiars because you meet so many people! I have a month to prepare everything..to frame the pictures and paintings and to make some new work..

So its preparing time now..today I framed this painting in. What do you think about it?

I hope that I meet many people and that I can make them happy with my work!

Preparing!

I´m in love with winter and autumn..and I think that I´m on my best that time. I also can love some summer things but I´m a real winter type. So it itches me already to prepare myself and our house for the long long cold winter. I love to make food ..like jam and vegetables on sour love and to buy a lot of winter stuff and so prepare myself. My clothes for the winter are coming out of the closet. I´m in love with a typical clothing. In the summer I try to be colourful and a little bit modern but now the time is coming that I can be totally myself. Even in clothes. So today I travel 4 houres to buy a new dress from that design ...And I´m happy with it. Now I can make new combinations with the clothes I already have. Yesterday I travel also a couple houres to get the pants from the same design. Swedish..of course what else.

So I cant wait to get on my dress....its a shame that I have to wait for a couple months.
But wishing you of course still a nice summer..
and I have something to look forward!

I´m so proud on my new dress that I just want to show them to you! Hope you didn´t mind!

I love to search and to sniff in second hands shops. Today I had a good day..sometimes you come home with 1 great thing..Today it was a little bit more. I was with the bus so I have to walk very fast to get on time for the bus..I was struggle with the bags and it was a little bit more heavy than I thougt but it was it all worth..here the best of the treasure:

1 Two very beautiful old baking scales from pottery.

2 A old 728 pages basics french cook book written in dutch. With everything in it. How to kill a rabbit and that kind of things. Very happy with it. With pictures in black and white and some colours!

3 A big bowl.

So I had a good day and the second hand shop also.

After a long, long time of rest I worked again this evening!!! I´m so very happy.
I struggle a lot with my job. To be a artist is for me a lonely craft and that is not good for me all the time. So in the beginning of 2010 a decided to have a break off my work to think and let it all go. Now it is coming back..and that is a little miracle. I worked this evening and I liked it very much I was really happy and I have again a lot of inspiration...Thank God!

Coffee or thea?

Today I started with my new job. Its a volunteering job. I have the time to do it and I;m glad that I can do it. I never thought that I will love it so much. I work 1 day in the week now by the old people's home in our village. I make thea or coffee for them and I can give them the attention that they so need. And it was so great to do that. To make jokes with the old man and woman. To be nice to them and to lay my hand on there arm. I was called this day : Nurse. And it means so much for me...

I was so glad when I get home..(I was a little bit nervous this morning or everything will go allright today) that I deside to celebrate this start.

So I made a very nice pie from gooseberries with foam cake on the top...mmmhhh. It was yummie.

And I feld myself so hommy trough the old people that I'm in a very Holland mood now! So the first pictures are made the last days and hear there by this day.
For the fly was it also a little party..I let him en enjoyd of him TODAY!

Flood!

This evening : The storm was coming!

In 1953 there was a big storm in Holland with a big flood.You know that we live below sea level..? Well then the dikes where not so good in that time and the sea brook trough the dikes. Our house in that time was standing whole under the sea water. Many people died that time.

It always intrigued me that catastrophe. We see in our house still the signs of it. The salt from the sea is still in our walls and its coming out in white flakes.

When I see a flood in Holland ( there still some little flood sometimes) on television I always wonder how people do that ..just stay calm and doing what possible is.

But now this evening I have my first mini flood. It was terrible weather and I enjoyd so much the rain and storm...I love autumn and it seems like autumn this evening. So I was happy. F. was outside looking of everything go's well with the new building..
But something was wrong and he was trying to fix it! Than he came in and said : Everything go's wrong. I can 't do anything!

That was the moment that my heart was going really fast...I looked outside and I know that I have to go outside helping to spoon all the water before our new the frontdoor. So I get outside in the storm ,rain and thunder in my summerdress and we both get really dirty and wet but we did what we had to do. And I could not help myself but I had to think off that horrible cold evening in 1953.

It was good to do and after 1 houre we take a warm shower and dry clothes and I looked back on a mini flood ...and that I did what I had to do.
Just that simple.

And it keeps me simple...
I thank God for a warm shower and a dry house...many people dont have this. I will pray for then tonight!

Boeuf Bourguignon Finally!

Since I´ve seen the movie Julie and Julia I dream of making Boeuf Bourguignon. In that time I couldn´t eat that because of my gallstones but now after the surgery I just had to wait till I had enough energy to make it...
Yesterday was that day!!!

It was a really fantastic day..I was so glad with doing shopping and cooking! And more important it was a really good taste!! We love it so much..and I was smiling from ear to ear! Yes I was really proud!!

Months ago I saw some antique tin forks and spoons I bought it for our new kitchen..But yesterday was for me the day to started to eat with this. It was funny to realize that many mouths have eating from that spoon.
Our friend/neighbour was alone that evening so he was eating with us and we had with the tree of us a very good meal and a good evening! Love food , love friends, love life ...

French lunch: Ballotine de volaille aux pistaches!/ How to survive 37 degrees

I have made for the first time a French lunch. I´m so proud of myself! I started yesterday in the evening and 1 houre ago we did eat it. It was a perfect lunch. I feld myself luxury! I enjoyd every bite. It was so freaking good...
Hope I can inspirate you to go and make some delicious food you never made before. It was exiting and a adventure...I love cooking so much. I love the feeling of the meat in my fingers to prepare and to knead to slice. Its the same with painting you have to do it with your fingers in your work. To feel and get a tie with it. Its life at best!

We had eating vegetables soup with green pesto self made, toast with my new recipe chicken pâtés and some tomatoes and cucumber....its a keeper!!

What I love about summer:
I love to watch planes go by and I dreamed of who is in that plane and where is the plane going to. I'll do this since I was a child.

I love to read outside and have all the time of the world. I love how the wind is playing with my pages.

I love the sunshine trough leafs and how the sun trough that leafs is playing with shadows on me and everything around me.

I love to stare in the space and dreaming of all kind of things. With the sun on my skin of course!

I love the summer sky with the summer clouds..they have something very special dont you think?

This morning I feld myself a little bit sad. I'm most of the time still to tired to live the summer life and I sleep a lot. Just as it is right now. But the weather is so beautiful ...grr. I wish I can go on my bike..but I cant and I have to accept that. Luckly I have a great place to stay. I cant complane... I will have a very slowly start of my summer...Its oke. I will live with it. But when I be better ooooooo boy ...Till then: Let the summer party begin and hold on till I be there! Have a nice nice summer!

Raw Herring Party

We missed our invitation for a herring party! We had something else to do. But today we eat the first New Catch Herring. It´s something special for Holland. We eat the fisch raw with raw onions. We hold the fish on his tale and take a bite ... Many foreigners shiver from our habit. But not only they... I like the taste of the fish very much but the idea of eating raw fish is mostly stronger than my desire to taste. So I start very brave but on the half I stop eating because I can not longer resist the feeling that I doing something dirty. And I'm also eating very righteous the fish with fork and knife because when I have to hold that fish on his tale I can not eat one bite a think.
What my F. totaly respected because the rest is for him.

We eat the whole year raw herring but the new season started this year 07-03 and many people where looking forward to that season. The fish are on they best than. Its the New Catch ...
So you see something real dutch here.
The cap I wear is also realy dutch. Its a cap of 1920 and the maids at that time where these caps when they cleaning the house...dont you love they? I love old dutch habits and clothes and houses and everything indeed. I love Holland...I think! I know for sure.

I notice today that even our house is a mass trough the rebuilding..and even I'm still not better. I AM THE LUCKIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD!

I´m ready for my hospitalization. I have bought slipper, night-shirt, a little present for myself (I will open this when I'm awake from the drug) and have a lot of books en films from the libary borrowed. I have no idea how long I have to stay. Its depending from different things.

F. is working hard. I´m dreaming of next week. Monday I get a surgery (my gall bladder will be removed) now I have to prepare myself to take some rest so that my body is in good condition monday morning. So I held F. company today and dream of nice recipes I will make when I will be better...

Foundation day!

For our new kitchen we started today with a very important step...foundation day!
F sad : It was a bad job!
No work for a lady..sadley we missed 1 guy so the lady today turnt in to the thirth guy. It was hot and we all broken now!
But the lady is lady again and I have to go now to the supermarket on my bike to do the shopping for this weekend. Wish me luck!

Again I will tell you something about Romania.I had already thought about sharing this pictures but now I think I can do this because the theme.

Its not really where I'm sitting now but where I have sitting in my second home country. I have told you about it.
During to prepare the journey I collect mony for the people there. Many people had given this last journey so I did many different things with it. I worked there with a friend who is pastor in Iasi (the North of Romania)he knows a lot of people who needs help.( but I think almost everybody needs help there)
So in december last year we bought a lot of food in Romania and make foodpackages.
On a day we go to a village very early in the morning and stay there the hole day till late in the evening by differents familys to listen to them to comfort them and to give all the family's the foodpackages and the childeren some toys.I have to tell you it was the best christmas I ever had! And if I may choose I just want to do nothing else than go to these people and doing good to them who needs that so much.
This people are spat through every body and the world is not looking at them because the rich countrys have nothing to profit there.
But I;m glad I can do something and luckely many people with me...Every smile you can make on somebody's face is just a little bit from heaven you give.They never can take that smile away!

I was in a shop this afternoon and I could not resist to buy some party things and set my girlfriend next door in the light with her new born foal.
I helpt this evening to wash the mother and I love it.I never done this before But now I think I'll be there the next coming time to enjoy the new life and help to take care for the other three horses..

Today I make a little move with the corner view theme. My end of the street is really nothing special..just a ordinary street. So I thought I'm gonna show you some street image from my second home..Romania. I feel myself at home there.I made this pictures last year when I was there to help the local people. I love doing that..I love these people so much. I love they way they think and live.
When my plane is landing there I get a warm feeling and I know I'm home now!

But it was also nice to notice last year (I was in the beginning and the end of 2009 there) that when I was back in Holland I also enjoyd to be back and love to pick up my life here in Holland. I love also shopping, and all that kinds of things and I can do that now without a feeling of missing or guilt to them. And I love that very much..because there was a time that it was different. I never want to be back years before..but now I enjoy both lifes and I am glad that I know both country and way of living. I'm a blessed girl. And I am gonna celebrate that today!

I live nearly close by Rosada factory outlet but I never been there because I thought that it was nothing for me. But I changed my mind..There are 2 shops I really like. I bought this wonderfull hat and a vest. And ooo it was really hot outside but...I was so glad with my new hat that I didn't care. I'm proud of it!

Today I was in Sydney!!! The weather was great and I had a good time on the beach and I watch the Sydney opera house! It is beautiful do you know that?! I love architecture..look together with me

1 night vacation in Brugge!

Unexpectedly 1 night in Belgium!! Love Belgium! Love Brugge. It´s a really amazing city. With a lot of chocolate! We had a great time. I can recommend heartily.
In the night we looking for a bed and breakfast and we found one. It was not so beautiful but we laughing a lot about it. To tell the truth is was a terrible place but the bed was nice and we slept well! So we go back!! Thanks Belgium for this wonderfull day!

Fashion week

I´ve been silent on blog world for almost a week, but I have not sitting still this week. I discoverd that I love fashion more than I knew.I discoverd this week that there is so much pain in woman that the word fashion almost becomes a dirty word...( so it was for me for many years) but I fell for it this week and saw a lot of inspiration, beauty and opportunities! Yes I love fashion!

And my new hat! With I found on Queens day on the free market for 2 euro!

So I'm gonna make sometimes a blog about fashion...it´s just that you know it!

Remembrance day 4 may!

Today it is Remembrance Day in Holland. We remember all the ones how has died in the second world war and the wars after that. It is to discus now for howlong we have to do this. But I think we have to this for enougther many many years. I think we can´t stop doing this. I'm always very emotional when I look to the memorial in the church and at the Dam in Amsterdam. Sometimes I have to cry. I dont know why but it is so touching to see the old man and woman and hear the stories and look to the images from the second world war.
I feel myself proud when I hear the anthem and see the old man who has fought for the freedom of my and mine country.

Today there is a lot of hate in the world.
I love the Jewish people and I think there is a wonderfull plan for them. But in the world is a lot of hate specially to the Jewisch. When I looked this evening to the memorial service in the church and heard stories and songs ..my heart jumpt up and was really touch when I heard this song in Jewish.

She sang Psalm 51.

From night hospital to Long live the queen!

It was a strange day today. Yesterday I was on visit by a girlfriend and in the evening I get pain in my belly. I sad to meself..nothing strange just go on! It started about 22.30 hour. My girlfriend brought me home and I try to sleep..and just saying its nothing go to sleep tomorrow everthing is better!! But it didn't work like that I had terrible pain and coud not sleep. F. had to work till 03.00 hour so I walkd en creep around and try to find some relief. I had a dark feeling that it was something that I had 2 years before several times. I hoped not. But I could not sit, lay down or anything else. Yes it was painfull! F. came home and after 1 hour we go to the hospital. I could not longer resit the pain. In the hospital came out where I was afraid for : Again after 2 years rest I had gallstones!!! So they give me 2 very big inject in my buttocks and about 05.15 the pain finally go's away and we get to home to go and sleep... Next week to the doctor and than I need a surgery..but thats later.Now I just wanted to sleep and hope on a wonderfull day because it was Queensday today!! A day we both looking forward... luckey we slept good and after a gallstones free dieet breakfast we go to our one and only one Queensday city!!

The second picture is a picture of me as the Queen. Our Queen hats are famous in Holland! We had to give some free gived to get this picture..It was funny to do. Dont you think I will be a good Queen?

In whole Netherland are party's on this day.In every village and town there is festivity to celebrate the Queens birthday. We do this all a very long time and we dutch people love it. Everybody is a little bit crazy on this day. Every town has different things to do. We always go to this town because we love it there. Its not to big and still big enough to be there for a couple houres.

Fortunately we had a great day...in my bag the suppositories for the pain but really we had a great day. And tomorrow has enough on his own worries!

I found my own alice hole!!!This morning F. begins with digging in our garden when I was on the phone.He shouted to me: I found something!!! After the phone calling I go directly to the garden and I was so enthusiastic that I was jumping in the garden. Yes we found something like a basement. We have no idea what is was orginal but now it's full of rubbish. So I took the spade and workd and workd. No I have a painfull back but the basement is so far empty that I can dig in!! Yes I'm so curious what I gonna find...

This evening I go for a little walk and ended in a carrousel. Love to do that!!
The only problem is that when I started to do that I get really dizzy. So dizzy that at the end of the walk I roamed over the way! But I came safely home and no I´m just sitting on the chair while the world is spinning in my head! No problem I can´t fall of the world!! Really!!

When I'm thinking about this theme I can only think of that great gumballs machine from my childhood. But I grow up and now I know its not healty for you all that sugar! That's why I have a new "machine" I think you can make me happy with a gumballstree. Because what's growing on the tree is good for you?! Don't you think?

So There is a song which I love and its called : the gumballstree. Its a dutch song and it make's me happy. Here is a picture from how it has to look my "vending tree"

My treasure found in the our garden...old pipes. Don't you love it? Yesterday F. digs in the garden and found in the clay this old pipe. We've found last year also another pipe and a tusk from a pig..hope that we found more and more.

This weekend

This weekend I was in the other side of our country. I'm living in the south and now I was with F. in the north. And because were living in a small country it's just a few houres driving. We've been there by the sister of F. She bought with her friend a bakery and they give a little "party" so that the both family's and friends can come and look how the bakery is. So it was a little reunion. I saw my little favourite nephew. He is named after my F. I see him just 2,3 times a year but still he is my favourite. If I see him I can't help I just want to make pictures of him I love him so much. Don't you love him? Isn't he a beauty? He is very special for me and F.

We stay by his sister till monday.We have walked in the forest and worked in the forrest. It was realy beautiful weather and we drink a little coke and eat apple pie in a lovely village you only have in the north.

It was good to be there!

Magic moment

This morning I had a magic moment. For the first time this year was it possible to open the garden doors. It was amazing! I was sitting in the son in my house and watch the garden.I feel myself so blessed. It was also the first time this year a hang the laundering outside. Love this time of the year! So many promises.

This week is the Corner View theme Front Door...

But we living in a little house that has to be renovate. So oure front door is not a thing that you wanna show on a picture.
But I want to show you a detail from oure front door..

We have no door handle so we use a plaid trough the hole in the door. All the people they come for the first time they are always searching for the door handle and look really funny when they have to pull on the plaid. It's something like out of a farytaile...pull on the rope and the door will get open. But here in the house is no wolf dressed as Merel.

Don't you love it! I bought a book about the life of Astrid Lindgren this weekend. Now I'm sick so I have time to read it and to watch it. When I came on this page I thougt: I have to show this on my blog it's such a inspiration...Pipi can live in us all.

When I get old I want to be like this woman..full of live and a little bit mad!

Anna's home

This evening I go to Anna. I go and sleep for 1 night in her lovely home. First she lives far far away in the high north. Now she's moved and we see each other so much more now. I love that. If I don't see her for a week I'm gonna miss her. We've been friends for now 12 years and I love her and oure friendship more and more. So tonight I'm gonna see her again and we going to play with pens, paint and food. I'm really looking forward...except.....

Anna's home is high in the sky. And they have no elevator. So when I want to see her I have to go to sport...she's laughs about it and runs on the stairs, but for me its a hard job. Speciale for 1 night. If I stay longer my legs get used off it, but now it will be only hard!

But I've found a solution:

So as you can see for every problem is a solution. Love to have that kinds of legs. But than I will have a new problem: What kind of tights do I have to where than?

Still dreaming.

I have a view master and I love to look in it. I have found a old Alice in Wonderland slideshow and I love to look at. Don't you think it will be wonderful if under the grass in our garden a little world will be?

Concert

We went to a classic music concert yesterday. It was magic. It was so beautiful that sometimes I was afraid to listen, because it seems when you listen to hard that the music will disappear. It was a adventure in a box. It was a new and great building. A box in a box so do they call the building. I enjoy every moment. I will show you a little piece of the concert..

After this music adventure we get hungry and when we drive at home(it was 1,5 houre) We stopt and go to the Mc. Donalds. The big M. It was hysterical to eat this bad food after a chic concert. And when I see today the picture of my bread I was in shock. It looks really from plastic. Have I realy eat that? Amazing!

But I'm still alive and love to go back. Hope you had a nice weekend.

A day of extreme.

Yesterday I went to the city. I had a lovely afternoon. Lots and lots of inspiration. My head was rolling of from all the things I saw and feld. I almost can't get home because the last bus to my village go 7 o'clock and that bus I miss.But another bus from another town go also to my village and I have to make a race against the clock other wise I have miss that bus to and then I had a problem..but I did it and I'm home now.

In the late evening F. came home from his job and we decided to cut the chickens. Because there where sleepy now and dont make so much noice. It was nice to get from the city to the real landlife. That's what I love about this place.In the afternoon there was a lots of colours, patterns, noice and moving. And in the evening I'm back in the rest and on my little land. I love that extreme. This morning I wake up and saw the chickens ...out of there sty. It didn't work. We have to do it again this evening. So 1-0 to the chickens. Hope they have fun today.

Spring party.

This morning I wake up and see the son shine... We go outside and sitting on our stairs. F. drink a cup of coffee outside. Sitting in de sun dreaming of the coming summer. And the chicken around us.

Our chickens has to be to the barber. My F. cut the wings normality so that they can not fly out there sty. Unfortunately it is a little bit to late because they walk free and happy. For them it is a party. So on the little movie you see a little chicken party.. I hope you can have also fun while watching the party and smelling the summer. Have a nice evening!

This day we started to order our building permit for the kitchen. This summer we want to build a bigger kitchen. It is something that I want for so long that I can not believe it is really gonna happening this summer. First I want to see it than I can believe it. Just like Thomas. But this evening we talk en prepare some paper works for the building permit and I let go my thoughts and make this ugly `paint` drawing. What will it be great when this is for real. We know what we want...thats not the problem. Our problem is always the money and all that terrible building permit circumstances...Its not so easy to build in Holland...many rules makes it very difficult. But we live for 6 years now in a house that is very small and very old. Our house needs a big refurbishmunt...I´m glad with our house but when we have 2 friends on a visit we cant sit al. So time for a bigger kitchen...than we can set 2 chairs more in our living ( because our dinertable is moving to the kitchen than)and we can sit with 4 people ...yeah!! What a little party...when it is ready I want to try that we have ones in the week some friends to diner and play games. Ohhh I wish and pray it could be happend...

Chicken stew

Today I've made the dicision that I want to cook something very nice..three houres and some books and magazines later I knew what I had to make: Chicken stew! I go on my bicycle and do the shopping things..

Now a couple houres later the chicken stew is almost ready to eat! I cant wait ...

If you also want to made my one chicken stew.... You need:
Chicken meat
Chili peppers
Honey
Tomato
Sherry

Carrots
Paprika

Garlic
Chicken broth And some patience. After 3,4 houres you have a wonderful stew! We gonna eat this with potatoes baked in the oven. Hope you have also a lovely diner this evening!

1 My true name is not Merel but when I think how I feel myself and want to feel myself than Merel shoot be my name. Merel means in Dutch blackbird. I love to feel free as a bird. 2 I love to spoil myself sometimes with shopping, nice diner , movie and to do just the girls things alone when my husband is working. Specially when he is working in the evening.

Secret agent

Yesterday I was a secret agent. In the afternoon I bought a great game that I want for a long time. The lady in the store ask me: Is it a present? First I say no than I say yes because I want to feel the feeling of a present. So the lady in the store make a package for me and I open up at home my package and F. and I eat little pancakes. It was a little party.

In the evening our neighbours en friends came to diner and to play a game. I had made a jamie Oliver recipe and than we going to play. We had to be a murder dissolve. Of course F. won! It was a lovely evening. This evening will also friends come to diner. I love it when our house is full of people!

Tomorrow will be a great day.
Anna is here and tommorow a friend will join us. We gonna play with paint, colour marker, paper and everthing we can find. We just want to play for one day, without obligations and feelings that we have to make something serious. So I got some magazines en art books out of my studio and we prepare ourselves this evening for a wonderful day.

I have made this collage a couple weeks ago and I still love it. Maybe I want to make something like this tomorrow but than very big! Or maybe I'm gonna paint, or maybe....

O lucky me! I bought this shoes in 2009 they not fits good than. Now I found them back and the fit good now! Lucky me! The pictures with the lovely patterns are made from a book I´ve bought also in 2009. It´s a book with wrapping paper. The paper has patterns from the late eighteenth century. Love that book! Love my shoes! I think they fit nice together. It's nice to found a little treasure on the beginning of the week!

Old times

The laptop is broken and needs to go to the laptop doctor, but I'm totally addicted to internet so there was no choice then to go back on my knees and ask to my very old computer of he wants to help me. Well he wants..and when the computer put on, he shows me some great old pictures. It was a little party to see all that pictures.

Today i'm longing to the summer and when I see this picture o I cant wait anymore.
But I have. In the summer is it tradition for us to make real hungary goulash soup. Most of the time together with friends and we make than a long summer night in our backyard with a little fire to keep us warm. We make the soup on the traditional way. Some friends from Romania and Hungary learn us how to make. So ones in 3 weeks we eat this lovely soup and I looking forward to make this again. We love Romania and Hungary. When we eat this we feel ourselves realy at home. A little bit of that lovely culture in Holland. So thats why I want so share this picture with you than it seems that we have made Goulash soup this evening. And I fell good this night!

O my what was Stockholm great. To much to share but it was truly great! I've enjoy every moment of this small trip. We have only saw 4 streets but that was the fault of Stockholm itself. The city was to great to see more in less time. So now I have to go back. Its a shame...

Yes I was today in the vintage shop, no I was not on my bicycle. Yesterday was a lauzy day and in the evening round 10 o´clock I can´t standing anymore to be lauzy. So I took my runningshoes and I go for some sports outside in the field. So today my legs hurts so I just go to the busstation on my bike and took the bus to the shop.

I found today a coat, a dress, a great great shawl and some accessories. It was a day with mix emotions. I had this day bad feelings about myself...girls you now what I mean. So it was a little bit difficult to be happy with my stuff. But now I´m happy with it..I think.

Today it was storm and rain! I love this weather! Because inside is it warm en nice! We where free today and we stay the hole day in. We even orderd some food so it was a really lazy day today. But ...tomorrow I'm gonna face the weather because I'm going to the biggest vintage clothes shop in the area. I'm going on my bicycle trough the storm and the rain. Looking forward. Maybe I think totally different about it when I'm sitting on my bike tomorrow for 1 our. But now I love to think about it, and I go for a nice dress. Hope you had a nice day!

After 2 rainy days, I wake up this morning and go downstairs. There I see a beautiful sunbeam on the stairs. I love to see the sun, so I opend my curtains and wow the snow was falling this night. The garden melts together with our vieuw. Its great to see such garden vieuw, I fell myself a great landlord if I see this. Even our chickens love it today. They stay the hole day out!

I hope that tomorrow a lots of snow will fall down.

The weather was cold and I enjoying every moment of the day. It was a spoil time day. I had all the time of the world. With the coal stove on and the snow outside, with a lot of magazines and food I can stay the hole day in.

Even when I was outside to go shopping for the weekend in the supermarket I enjoy that moment. I was shopping with my girlfriend nex door and we discuss a lot of things. We looking together in nice food magazines and we make each other crazy with all these nice recipes.

It was a friendly day. In the evening my girlfriend from next village came over and we watch the movie: As it is in heaven!

Again! Its not boring for me. I can watch movies for 13 times.

My little house was today a little wellness center. First my husband take a nice foodbad. Than in the evening I make a decision to go run outside. When I walk out of my house I see that outside the road was frozen and slippery , so when I'm almost fall down I turn to my house and start to run in our garage. After that I take a shower and spoiled myself with a very nice movie : As it is in heaven! Great movie. Great evening. I feel myself luxury.

Some friend called us...

"Do you want a goose?"

My love make the goose ready to eat...but I just can't eat a goose. When I see the bullet stuck in the meat, I decide no more goose for me. I'm sorry darling. You did a good job, but for me no lovely goose. And yes I feel myself a little bit quilty...but now I now that meat from the wild is nothing for me. I've try 3,4 times to eat wild meat but every time I cant eat it. So this was the last time for me...from now on just vegetarian food...maybe.
